AFTER DARK PROGRAM

The Bluesberries

Take the greatest R’n’B hits ever recorded, add some of the most talented musicians in the land to play them, and you are set for an unforgettable night of entertainment.

The Bluesberries are a high-octane outfit led by saxophonist Dan Fallon, pianist Paul Beard and starring the vocal brilliance of Bronwyn Mulcahy

Tonight, the band will be performing Blue Skies and Morning Sunsongs they wrote to support Ukraine and which were recorded with some of Ukraine's top artists, including soprano Maryana Golovko, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the Mariupol Chamber Orchestra Renaissance, and the Shchedryk Children's Choir. The music videos for these songs have been viewed in the millions.

Thanks to band leader, saxophonist, and philanthropist John McMurtrie, the band has raised over $60,000 for Ukraine charities.

See them perform in concert at Lazybones in Marrickville on Sunday April 12 and help raise money for Ukrainian refugees via I'Mariupol and assist amputees via Superhumans Center.

Kalush Orchestra

Kalush Orchestra — boundary-pushing Ukrainian band blending hip-hop, folk motifs and modern production — rose to international prominence when they won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 with the song "Stefania." Their victory marked a powerful moment of cultural expression and global solidarity for Ukraine. Known for high-energy performances, evocative vocals and traditional instrumentation woven into contemporary beats, Kalush Orchestra bring both heartfelt storytelling and striking stagecraft.

At UkiFest Sydney they will headline the After Dark program, delivering a dynamic evening set that promises electrifying rhythms, emotional depth and a memorable celebration of Ukrainian culture. Expect a mix of their Eurovision standout and other compelling tracks, performed with the passion and authenticity that made them a global phenomenon.
