Lithuania - A small nation bordering the Baltic Sea, about the size of Tasmania with a population of less than 3 million is still supporting Ukraine in it’s time of need today.

"Sūkurys" which tranlates to "whirlwind", is the Sydney Lithuanian folk dancing group, The group was first created in 1974 for adolescents and has since evolved over the years. At its peak, Sūkurys had nearly 50 dancers including Junior, Youth and Senior divisions.

Today, third generation Aussie Lithuanians as well as newly arrived Lithuanians enjoy socialising and love the traditional fun of Lithuanian folk dancing. The enjoyment of teaching traditional folk dancing has passed down family generations through Sūkurys.

Today we wish to share our love and joy for our folk dancing with
